Ghosts of the Lost Colony opens April 15

The theatrical, interactive adventure Ghosts of the Lost Colony will explore paranormal hotspots around the grounds of the Waterside Theatre and Fort Raleigh National Historic Site. Presented by The Lost Colony, Ghosts of the Lost Colony is open to the public Monday through Saturday, April 15 through April 27. Tours leave at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 and 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday from The Lost Colony ticket office.

Trevor Janzen, founder of Astral Plane Investigations, will be guiding tours through Elizabethan history, colonial exploration and the importance of these expeditions. During the tour mysteries of Roanoke Island will be uncovered through encounters with the ghosts of those who lived here.

Tours are conducted outdoors in the evening on uneven terrain. The trails are not accessible by individuals with physical handicaps or in wheelchairs. Tickets are $20, children 5 and under are free and available online at thelostcolony.org and by phone at 252-473-2127, or one hour before the tour at the Ticket Office. The Waterside Theatre is located on Roanoke Island off Hwy 64, just north of Manteo.
