Beach cleanups in Cape Hatteras National Seashore. 8 a.m. to noon. All open off-road ramps and at Coquina Beach, Old Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Site and Ocracoke Beach Access. Sponsored by Cape Hatteras National Seashore and North Carolina Beach Buggy Association.

Fish Fry. Hatteras Volunteer Fire Department. 5 p.m. Plates of locally caught fried fish, cole slaw, potato salad and hush puppies. Large plates $12, small $8. Desserts $1. Tea. Eat out back on picnic tables. Or take home. Serving goes until fish runs out.
