At around 3 o’clock this morning, July 11, U.S. Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet responded to a disabled vessel in the Pamlico Sound after the anchor line had failed. There were two people on board.
Coast Guard crew members went underway and towed the vessel Morning Prayer from Long Point shoal to Wanchese harbor. There were no medical concerns and both the Coast Guard crew and those on Morning Prayer made it to the harbor safely.
“Bravo zulu crew on a job well done!” said the statement on the incident.
