Elizabeth City man arrested in Kitty Hawk on drug charges

The Kitty Hawk Police Department has reported the Sunday afternoon arrest of an Elizabeth City man on drug charges.

According to KHPD, on Sunday, September 15 at around 1:30 p.m. Kitty Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on Joshua Ansink of Elizabeth City. Ansink was found him to be in possession of forty eight dosage units of LSD.

Ansink was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond.

KHPD reports that Ansink currently has other pending charges in Camden County for driving while impaired and reckless driving stemming from an incident on August 25.
