Informational meeting on ‘jug handle’ bridge project set

The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an informal informational meeting Sept. 26 to update the public on the Rodanthe “jug handle” bridge project. The project is currently under construction with an estimated completion date of late 2020 or early 2021.

The meeting will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center, 23186 Myrna Peters Road in Rodanthe.

NCDOT officials and project engineers will provide an update on the project’s progress and answer questions from people who attend the meeting. No formal presentation is planned.
