Clark Twiddy, left, chief administrative officer of Twiddy and Company Realtors, signed a memorandum of understanding with College of The Albemarle (COA) to create an annual scholarship called the Candis R. Richardson Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship, established with a gift of $2,000, will provide funds for a COA student enrolled in courses with a strong emphasis on business, management, analytics and/or entrepreneurship.

The scholarship is named after former employee Candis Richardson, who passed away in 2015 after a courageous fight with breast cancer.
