Kitty Hawk Elementary School is the recipient of $1,000 Walmart Community Grant which will be used to build a permanent outdoor communication board on the playground. This will provide a place for nonverbal students and verbal students to learn to communicate with each other and play together.

This  project will increase understanding, communication and positive relationships between non-verbal and verbal students as they play together each day. “We appreciate the support of our local Walmart,” stated a Dare County Schools press release.
