Parenting the Second Time Around, offered through Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County, is a free support group and workshop for grandparents and other caregivers in the position of raising children again. Weekly sessions will be provided starting February 24 through March 30, 6-8 p.m. at the Outer Banks Family YMCA in Nags Head.

The program is designed to provide resources and ideas for families, offer coping strategies and invite the opportunity for families to meet new friends and share experiences with one another. Sessions will cover child development, community resources, discipline and guidance, caring for yourself as a caregiver, rebuilding a family, living with teens and understanding your roles and responsibilities.

To register, call Children & Youth Partnership at 441-0614. Childcare available upon request.
