Manteo – Margaret Kirsch Buell, 71, of Manteo, NC died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the Tyrrell House in Columbia, NC.
Born in Black Hawk County, Iowa on June 21, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Louise Kathleen Quinn and Paul Edward Kirsch.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 47-years, Raymond W. Buell; three children, Christine Powers (Jonathan), Ryan Buell (Whitney), and Matthew Buell (Angela); three grandchildren, Matthew Fesko, Frankie Powers (Ashlyn), and Mason Buell; and four siblings, Annie Kacher (Ron), Katie Hildman (Mark), Mary Sinclair (Lon), and Andrew Kirsch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Debbie (Steve) Fesko; and two siblings, Robert Kirsch (Linda) and Christine “Gus” Schnieders (Al).
Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was active in the community and loved her job as manager of Hotline Too Thrift Shop. Some groups she specially enjoyed were the Red Hat Club, the Teacup Quilters, and the Manteo Water Aerobics Group.
When it came to traveling, Margaret and Bill loved taking cruises, especially to Bermuda. Wherever they traveled, she made sure to see any lighthouses. She was blessed to live near several lighthouses on the Outer Banks and enjoyed trips to the beach and Jennette’s Pier.

Plans for a memorial service and funeral mass are pending at this time.
