COVID-19 testing set in Swan Quarter Wednesday

In Swan Quarter, a drive-through COVID-19 testing site will operate Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

Appointments for diagnostic tests are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mattamuskeet Early College High School parking lot at 20392 U.S. Highway 264, Swan Quarter.

Call 252-926-4382 or 252-926-4397 to schedule an appointment.

Residents of Hyde, Beaufort, Dare, Martin, Tyrrell and Washington counties age 10 years and over are eligible for this drive-through testing.

The Hyde County Health Department partner delivering this service is Mako Medical Laboratories from Raleigh.

The Hyde County Health Department remains available to the public to answer questions and provide education. Businesses are encouraged to call if they have questions or concerns about how to keep their employees and patrons safe. Individuals are encouraged to call with inquiries. The county health department can be reached at 252-926-4399 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

As of Monday, July 13, Hyde County has had 33 positive cases. Of those cases, 26 have recovered, which means we are now following seven cases. The county has had no deaths in Hyde County from the virus.
