Cape Hatteras Anglers Club cancels surf fishing tournament

On July 10, the board of directors of Cape Hatteras Anglers Club announced the cancellation of all club events for the remainder of 2020. This includes the 63rd Annual Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament.

Also included in the cancellation are all Bingo games and monthly members meetings.

The cancellation is due to the uncertainty brought by COVID-19.

Regarding the tournament, the 120 teams will not change and will remain the same for 2021. The waiting list remains the same. Team captains or contacts who have sent entry forms and fees may email capehatteraanglersclub@gmail.com or call 252-995-4253 to discuss a refund or credit for the 2021 tournament. If calling, leave a message. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
