Rachel “Momma Spaid” Twaddle was one of the most caring, loving, and hard-working people you could ever come across. Her heart was pure and her smile was infectious. If anything had you down and out, one of her famous hugs could make all the pain go away instantly. You couldn’t ask for a better mother, friend, sister, aunt or daughter. The world may have lost an amazing woman, but Heaven gained an even better angel. Fly high, Momma. We all love you and miss you more than we could ever describe with simple words.

The family has honored Rachel’s directives for cremation. They have planned a celebration of her life to be held August 30 on Coquina Beach in south Nags Head at 4 p.m. Limited parking is available at the Coquina Beach access.
