Rachel Viola Twaddle

East Lake – 49 year old mother of three Rachel V. Twaddle died of natural causes in Nags Head unexpectedly, May 4, 2020.  She was born in Ketchikan, Alaska. Rachel was preceded in death by father John Twaddle.

Rachel worked in the local vacation rental industry for several years. Music and her family were her life passions.

Rachel is survived by numerous relatives including children Dakotah Menapace and Cheyanne White, both of East Lake, and Tyler of Washington; mother Ethel White Twaddle of Texas; sister Kathy Dean of Kill Devil Hills; and a niece.

Rachel “Momma Spaid” Twaddle was one of the most caring, loving, and hard-working people you could ever come across. Her heart was pure and her smile was infectious. If anything had you down and out, one of her famous hugs could make all the pain go away instantly. You couldn’t ask for a better mother, friend, sister, aunt or daughter. The world may have lost an amazing woman, but Heaven gained an even better angel. Fly high, Momma. We all love you and miss you more than we could ever describe with simple words.

The family has honored Rachel’s directives for cremation. They have planned a celebration of her life to be held August 30 on Coquina Beach in south Nags Head at 4 p.m. Limited parking is available at the Coquina Beach access.

Express condolences to the family via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
