Elbert Lewis Gibbs Jr.

Elbert Lewis Gibbs Jr., 58, of Moyock, died January 13, 2021 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. He was born in Currituck County on February 20, 1962 to the late Elbert Lewis Gibbs and Betty Jean Miller Gibbs.

He is survived by fianceé Teresa Acree, daughter Dana Gibbs Taylor (Steven); sisters Norma J. Gibbs Sanderlin and Phyllis Gibbs Barnett; grandchildren Taylor Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Amber Anderson, McCoy Taylor and Everly-Kate Taylor; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on January 22 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.  Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is assisting the family. www.TwifordFH.com.
