Tom Brown, 89, of Engelhard, died May 7, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

Tom was born in Hyde County on January 10, 1932 to the late Bennie and Mamie Gibbs Brown. He was married to Linda Hudson Brown, who survives.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 15, at Mt. Pilgrim Church of Christ. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In addition to his wife, surviving are sons Tom Brown Jr., Larry Brown (Pamela), Tyrone B. Brown, Eric Brown (Madeline) and David Brown; daughters Theresa Brown and Tonya Brown; stepdaughter Litisa McMillan; sister Georgie Lewis and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by stepdaughter Tuwana Wall; brother Edward Brown; and sister Carrie Rickard.
