Marilyn J. Vasilakis, 81, of Southern Shores, died May 17, 2021 at The Outer Banks Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Staten Island, NY on September 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude Isaksen Jelm and Gustave Edward Jelm.

Marilyn is survived by husband Andrew Vasilakis; daughters Diana Vasilakis (Mark Cross), Kristine Vasilakis and Monica Vasilakis; grandchildren Caleb and Natalie Cross; and sister Arlene Libutti.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Walter Jelm.
