Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative holds unique annual meeting

Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative held its drive-through annual meeting on Monday, May 24, 2021 in front of the cooperative’s offices at 47109 Light Plant Road in Buxton. Between 5 and 6:30 p.m., cooperative staffers served 500 Crazy Johnny’s Bar-B-Que sandwiches and gave away 230 gift bags, each containing a Sherpa blanket, wireless phone charger and the cooperative’s 2022 member calendar.

The calendar features Hatteras Island photos from cooperative members. This year, the cooperative received 70 entries in the contest that runs from October through February.
