Melissa Samko Muncy, 43, died June 11, 2021 in Nags Head after a long, hard fight with cancer.

Missy was born on February 26, 1978, in Hopewell, Va.

Missy was preceded in death by father John “Tim” Samko III and her grandparents.  She is survived by husband Adam Muncy, mother Virginia Samko, sister Francy Daniels and other family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26 at Calvary’s Love Ministries, 118 South 11th Ave, Hopewell, Va. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. and the memorial service will be held from 2-3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Melissa Samko Muncy to The Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116 (www.autism.org); or your favorite children’s charity.
