Currituck County Sheriff’s Office investigating Saturday shooting

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Barco on Saturday, June 26.
CCSO reports that deputies were dispatched to 4473 Caratoke Highway in reference to a shooting. On scene, deputies found one male subject who had been shot and identified the subject that fired the shot.
“Investigators are interviewing witnesses and those involved,” stated a CCSO press release. “Investigators are processing the scene.”
As of 10:20 p.m., the person shot is in the hospital, according to CCSO.
