Beautiful tundra swans (Cygnus columbianus) are shown in flight. They migrate thousands of miles south from Arctic tundra to southern wetlands at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge as well as other regional national wildlife refuges, such as Mattamuskeet and Pea Island.
