Rachel Gard Twiddy, 78, of Manns Harbor, died November 7, 2022 at The Outer Banks Hospital. A native of Manns Harbor, she was born January 16, 1944 to the late Margaret Gibbs Gard and Alton E. Gard Sr.

Survivors include husband Irdell Twiddy; daughters Dolores King (Wardell), Cynthia Twiddy, Mimi Twiddy, Amelia Vazquez (Luis) and Falana Twiddy; sons Buddy Twiddy and Adrian Twiddy (Amber); 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Myra Twiddy and Arlene Basnight (Louie) and brother Ferrell Gard (Irma).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by daughter Renee Twiddy; grandson Hector; sister Amy Kelvy; brothers Elroy Gard and Herman Gard; sister-in-law Lydia Gard; and brother-in-law Andrew Twiddy.
