Baltimore orioles (Icterus galbula) are found all over the eastern portion of the United States. Many people associate the bright orange and black of the adult male with the name, but immature and female Baltimore orioles can add a splash of bright yellow to a yard or, in the case of this photo, to Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge.
