George “Cliff” Kyle

George Clifton Hayes “Cliff” Kyle, 51, died Feb. 10, 2019. He was the son of George W. and Mary Susan Kyle of Goodlettsville, Tenn. Cliff was a veteran having served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne. He had worked as a Biomedical Technician and had spent his last few years sailing the East coast, becoming a member of a close-knit community of sailors.  He was known for his positive and generous nature, his wisdom, his tenacity and his wonderful laugh. True to his delightful sense of humor, Cliff, whose leg was amputated said, “I’m positive I’m a one-legged sailor.”

Left cherish his memory are his son Frank O. H. Kyle of Jamestown, KY; parents George and Mary Susan and his sailing community.

His sailing community is planning a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 24 at 4 p.m. at Wanchese Marina. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
