Maryann Cookie Pratt, 64, of Wanchese, died March 11, 2019.

A native of the Outer Banks, Maryann was well-known in the community and loved by everyone who knew her. She lived for spending time with her children and grandchildren. When she wasn’t with her family, you could find her doing one of her many loved hobbies.

Maryann was preceded in death by husband Gordon Lee Pratt Sr.; parents Mary Evans Parsons and James R. Parsons; so, Joey Pratt; and daughter Dahna Pratt.

Survivors included children Junior Pratt (Colleen Pratt) of Bastrop, LA, Lorrie Ann Hanssler of Columbia, Bruce Pratt of Brunswick, Brian Pratt (Annie Tillett) of Nags Head, Rocky Pratt (Nicole Pratt) of Jarvisburg, and Vaughn Pratt (Kimberly Pratt) of Wanchese; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends, and canine companion.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at Twiford Colony Chapel with Pastor Mark Hinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dare County Senior Center, PO Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954.
