No-bake sweets for the summer

Looking for something sweet but don’t want to heat up the kitchen by turning on the oven? Here are three recipes for no-bake confections.

Coconut Ice Cream Balls

Ingredients:

1 gallon French vanilla ice cream

2 14-ounce packages shredded coconut

What to do:

Make ice cream balls with a 1 1/2-inch scoop, then roll each ball in the shredded coconut. Place them in foil or paper mini-muffin wrappers on a tray. Cover with foil or plastic wrap and freeze.

Ingredients:

graham crackers

cream cheese or marshmallow fluff

M&Ms

What to do:

Take one graham cracker square and spread cream cheese or fluff on it. Then take a red M&M, a yellow M&M and a green M&M and put in order top to bottom and you have a stoplight cookie.

 

No Bake Cookies (Requires using stove)

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

¼ cup cocoa

½ cup canned milk

1 stick margarine

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/3 crunchy peanut butter

3 cup quick cooking oatmeal

What to do:

Mix sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine in pan. Put on medium heat and cook until it starts to boil, stirring constantly. Boil for about a minute. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, peanut butter and oatmeal. Stir well. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper. Cool until hard.
