New principal announced for First Flight High School

After a comprehensive First Flight High School principal interview process that included teacher, parent and student representatives, Superintendent John Farrelly made a recommendation to the Dare County Board of Education on a new principal for First Flight High School.

On June 11, the board agreed with the recommendation and named current assistant principal Chuck Lansing the new First Flight High principal effective July 1.

Said Farrelly in an announcement, “Chuck is an outstanding leader focused on building relationships with our stakeholders. He is innovative, driven and has an extensive amount of experience at successful high schools. I am looking forward to working with Mr. Lansing and supporting him in his new role.”
