Ashley Wyatt, 37, of Kill Devil Hills, was arrested June 6 on the charge of embezzlement from a Kill Devil Hills plumbing company.

According to the warrant, police alleged that Wyatt, “unlawfully, willfully and feloniously, with the intent to embezzle and fraudulently and knowingly misapply and convert to her own use, take and make away with $72,270.51 in US Currency belonging to Action Plumbing.”

Wyatt was placed under a $10,000 secured bond at the Dare County Detention Center, which she posted on the day she was arrested.
