Dare County Arts Council and Pocosin Arts team up

Published 9:02 am Saturday, August 10, 2019

Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft and the Dare County Arts Council have teamed up to present 201 Main, an exhibition highlighting the work and achievements of Pocosin Arts’ current and past resident artists.

The show will focus on the work the artists made while staying at Pocosin and how their work has evolved since their experience. The artists represent diverse backgrounds and create individual work, but are tied together by the shared experience of the studio space, exposure to visiting artists and a year spent in Columbia.

The exhibition will feature ceramicists, metalsmiths, painters and mixed media artists. It’s an opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy live music and partake in light refreshments at the Dare County Arts Council’s upstairs gallery on September 6 from 6-8 p.m.
