State of County presentation set for Jan. 15

Dare County and the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce are hosting the State of the County 2020 breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Robert Woodard, recently re-elected as chairman of the Dare County Board of Commissioners, will reflect on the county’s accomplishments and challenges from 2019 while looking to what’s ahead as a new decade begins.

The State of the County breakfast will also kick off the yearlong celebration of Dare County’s 150th anniversary during 2020.

The event will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Captain George’s Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills.

Admission is $10 including a full breakfast. Space is limited. Reserve tickets by calling the Outer Banks Chamber office at 252-441-8144.
