Manteo Middle School art students participated in the Roanoke Island Woman’s Club Art Contest, which is held annually in the spring.
Students placing first in the local competition are Alonzo Hernandez-Torres, Haley Heard, Jenna Frank, Liam Beverly, Brown Gady, Adalay Grimsley and Chloe Andrasen.

First place winners in the district contest include Frank, Gaddy, Heard, Hernandez-Torrez and Andrasen.
Bringing home first place entries in the state competition are Heard, Hernandez-Torres and Andrasen.
