The Dare County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, July 19, 2021 at 5 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room, Dare County Administration Building, located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo.

Reports will address the Dare County Regional Airport and the Dare County Guarantee Scholarship for College of The Albemarle.

A major report provides financial projections for five years.

A budget amendment will be considered for the sale of Dare Home Health and Hospice Certificate of Need.

An architectural firm is to be selected for facility improvements for the county’s Emergency Medical Services.

The next to last agenda item is a closed session to protect the attorney-client privilege and “to instruct the County staff concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the County in negotiating the price and other material terms of a real estate matter regarding Parcel No. 988018418077, 101 N Hwy 64/264, Manteo,” which is the Manteo Lodge facing Hwy. 64/264 between Agona and Fernando Streets. A public hearing on financing for the lodge and Mako’s Beach Grille and Bar has been advertised for Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. The same legal ad states the Manteo Lodge will be used as a youth center.
