Woody Ross McDaniels, 61, of Elizabeth City, died May 25, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Elizabeth City on September 26, 1959 to the late Thomas Lee “Tom” McDaniels and Aileen Creech McDaniels.

He is survived by daughters Karin McDaniels and Krystle McDaniels and their mother, Lauri; brothers Bill McDaniels, Bob (Jenny) McDaniels, Mark (Laura) McDaniels; sisters-in-law Jean and Shelly; grandchild Grady Christian; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Steve McDaniels and Eric McDaniels.

A funeral service was held May 28 at Corinth Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the McDaniels Athletic Scholarship Fund in c/o Krystle McDaniels, 533 New Road, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com.
