Spring sports awards presented to Cape Hatteras athletes

At Cape Hatteras Secondary, awards were presented to varsity athletes participating in 2019 Spring sports.

High school athletes participated in girls soccer, baseball, softball and track.

Maria Bradley as Best New Player

Hailey Quidley for the Dedication award

Molly Greenwood with the Coaches Award for Commitment to the team

Sam Smith as Most Valuable Player

Marlee Luckett as Offensive Player of the Year

Eliza Quidley as Defensive Player of the year.

Varsity softball awards were presented to:

Emma Del Monte and Kaitlyn Stephens as the Co-Most Valuable Players

Hannah Curcio as Most Improved

Evan Augustson with the Coaches’ award

Softball players receiving Atlantic 5 Conference recognition are:

1st Team: Kaitlyn Stephens, Emma Del Monte

2nd Team: Hannah Curcio, Sophie Waterfield and Jazmine Outland

Varsity baseball awards were presented to:

Colby Day as Most Valuable Player

Cody MacDowell as Pitcher of the Year

Al Hodges as Most Improved

Baseball players receiving Atlantic 5 Conference recognition are:

1st Team: Colby Day

2nd Team: John Canning, Wheeler Ballance

Honorable Mention: Cody MacDowell, Simon Wilson, Brayan Garcia

Varsity track team members received the following awards:

Dylan Gray as Sprinter of the Year

Shank Austin as Distance Runner of the Year

Avery O’Neal as Field Athlete of the Year.
