Happy National Seashell Day

Today’s the first official day of summer, and National Seashell Day.

The day for recognizing seashells began not too long ago, in 2016, as part of a marketing campaign by tourism officials in Ft. Myers and Sanibel, Florida.

But we all know the beaches of the Outer Banks turn up amazing treasures, too.

Post your favorite seashell photos on our Facebook page or email them to us at news@thecoastlandtimes.com and you may see them in online or in the print edition!
